The following is McCain’s 2006 letter warning about the dangers of not reforming Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The signatures of 19 other Senators are on this letter. Why is Obama’s signature notably absent? Obama was not the only Democrat to not sign it. As a matter of fact no democrat signed it.

The daily Gallup presidential tracking poll shows McCain’s for the 2nd consecutive day. The past couple of days has definitely been trending towards McCain. Are Obama’s dangerous associations with the likes of Bill Ayers starting to resonate with the American people? The poll now shows McCain trailing Obama by 9 points. Just two days ago the poll had Obama up by 11 over McCain. Again, something to consider when analyzing these polls is something called the “Bradley effect“.
Noel Sheppard over at NewsBusters.org has exposed a poll that most media outlets will probably be avoiding. The poll found that 74% of America’s top business leaders fear “an Obama presidency would be disastrous for the country.”
The poll was conducted by Chief Executive Magazine and can be found here.
This video is yet another good illustration of how the Democrats were blocking any kind of reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are at the heart of the financial crisis we are currently facing.
Another video illustrating Obama’s ties to ACORN. Anyone who has been actually following the financial crisis is aware that sub-prime loans are at the heart of the problem. Community organizers like Obama worked closely with ACORN to force banks to make bad loans.
Human Events has published an article illustrating how Senator John McCain’s 2006 demand for regulatory action on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac could have prevented the current financial crisis. The article states:
McCain’s letter — signed by nineteen other senators — said that it was “…vitally important that Congress take the necessary steps to ensure that [Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac]…operate in a safe and sound manner.[and]..More importantly, Congress must ensure that the American taxpayer is protected in the event that either…should fail.”
Sen. Obama did not sign the letter, nor did any other Democrat.
