Fox News is reporting that “a single engine plane pulling a banner behind it – like those you’d see at the shore – circled Obama’s rally, which was held at Metropolitan Park along the St. John’s River in Jacksonville”.
The protester’s message stated “Raising taxes is not patriotic.”
This message is probably in direct response to Senator Joe Biden’s recent statement on tax policy. He told ABC’s “Good Morning America” that
“it’s time to be patriotic … time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut”.
This seems to be in direct contradiction to Obama’s actual campaign message. Obama claims that if elected he will actually cut taxes. So, which is it? Are we to believe Obama’s record of voting to raise taxes and Joe Biden claim that “it’s time to be patriotic…” by paying more in taxes or do we believe Obama’s current message of cutting taxes?

According to an AP-Yahoo news poll “one-third of white Democrats harbor negative views towards blacks – many calling them “lazy,” “violent,” responsible for their own trouble”. This poll was conducted with Stanford University and “suggests that the percentage of voters who may turn away from Obama because of his race could easily be larger than the final difference between the candidates in 2004 – about two and one-half percentage points.”
